Aluminum Profiles

Shower aluminum profiles are typically made of 6063 &6463, due to the low weight, high strength and superior malleability features.

Surface Treatment: we provide aluminum profile with three types of surface treatment to meet different needs in showers.

Anodizing

Anodizing is an electro-chemical process that converts the metal surface into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, and anodic oxide finish. The anodic oxide structure originates from the aluminum substrate and is composed entirely of aluminum oxide. This aluminum oxide is not applied to the surface like paint or plating, but is fully integrated with the underlying aluminum substrate, so it cannot chip or peel. It has a highly ordered, porous structure that allows for secondary processes such as coloring and sealing.Bright anodizing (bright silver) & matt anodizing (matt silver) are the most popular finishes for aluminum profiles used in a shower.

Powder Coating

Aluminum powder coating is the technique of applying dry paint to an aluminum product by electrostatically charging the powder and spraying it unto the product. Powder coating aluminum is easy to clean and maintain, especially easier than wood as it will not require painting or staining. Powder coating metal is a durable and high grade powder coating process that results in a finished product that is capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions such as extreme UV exposure, salt spray and heavy pollution.White powder coating is the most popular finishes for aluminum profiles used in a shower.

Chrome Plating

Chrome is an alloy made from copper and nickel. It makes a shiny coating, and is a popular plating material for auto parts. When you send out aluminum parts to be chrome plated it is very expensive because chrome plating involves caustic and highly toxic chemicals, making the costs worth the investment.

Below are the most common finishes used in shower enclosures:

Silver
Satin
Gold
Oil Rubber Bronze
White
Black
Brushed Nickel
Polished Nickel
